A scale tells you a number.
The InBody 970s tells you the truth.
In about a minute, standing still, the InBody 970s breaks your body down into what actually matters: muscle by limb, body fat, the dangerous fat around your organs, hydration, and the health of your cells.
It’s the most advanced analyzer InBody makes, and a full scan is included with every Axxiom membership, every month.
- Clinical-grade accuracy for lean mass
- 99% reproducible, scan to scan
- Six frequencies across five body segments
- No pinch tests, no dunk tank, no guessing
- Phase angle a DEXA can’t even see
- The early signal most scans miss

What the InBody 970s actually measures
Not an estimate from your height and weight, but a direct reading of your body, segment by segment.
Segmental lean mass
Skeletal muscle measured separately in each arm, each leg, and your trunk, so you see exactly where you’re strong and where you have room to build. This is the number that decides how well you age.
Body fat & visceral fat
Your true body-fat percentage, plus visceral fat area, the fat wrapped around your organs that drives metabolic disease and long-term health risk. Tracked and trended every month.
Phase angle & hydration
Phase angle is a marker of cellular integrity, a window into recovery and overall health that a scale or a DEXA can’t give you. Plus intracellular and extracellular water balance, a key recovery signal.
Why we scan every month
Because real data produces real accountability, for you and for us.
Most people over thirty lose three to eight percent of their muscle mass per decade, and it accelerates after fifty. You don’t feel it until it’s already cost you. A monthly scan catches the trend years before the mirror does, and proves that your one hour a week on the Kineo is actually adding muscle where it counts.
It’s the difference between hoping a program works and watching the number move.
The InBody 970s vs. everything else
| Method | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Bathroom scale | One number. Can’t tell muscle from fat from water. |
| Tape & calipers | A rough fat estimate that depends on who’s pinching. |
| DEXA scan | Accurate lean mass, but radiation, cost, and no cellular-health marker. |
| InBody 970s at Axxiom | 70+ measures in a minute, 99% to DEXA, phase angle, included monthly. |
No radiation, no appointment across town, no upcharge. It’s built into how we train you.
Questions about the InBody scan
What is the scan like?
You stand on the device and hold two handgrips for about 60 seconds. That’s it. No needles, no radiation, no getting in a tank or a pod. A gentle, imperceptible current measures how your body’s tissues conduct it, which is how it separates muscle, fat, and water.
How accurate is it really?
Published research has measured the InBody’s lean-mass reading at up to 99% correlation with a DEXA scan (the clinical gold standard), and it reproduces results to within about 1% scan to scan. It reads 30 impedance measurements across six frequencies and five body segments.
What’s phase angle, and why does it matter?
Phase angle reflects the integrity of your cell membranes: broadly, how healthy and well-hydrated your cells are. It tends to rise as you get fitter and recover better, and it’s a marker a scale or a DEXA simply can’t give you. We track it as an early signal of how your body is responding to training.
Do I have to be a member to get scanned?
No. Your $75 Axxiom Assessment includes a full scan and a walkthrough of the results. Members then get a scan included every month; single scans and result reviews are also available; see the pricing page.
Find out where you actually stand.
One scan tells you more about where your body is headed than a year of guessing. Your Axxiom Assessment starts here: one hour, one-on-one, $75.
