The CVAC Pod

Adaptive Conditioning  |  CVAC Pod  |  Greenwood Village

Twenty minutes.
No exertion. Real adaptation.

CVAC stands for Cyclic Variations in Adaptive Conditioning. You sit in a pod. It cycles the air pressure and temperature around you, simulating rapid changes in altitude.

Your body responds the way it would to hard interval training, without the joint load, the sweat, or the recovery cost. Axxiom is one of the very few places in Colorado where you can book one.

20 minutes
  • One session, start to finish
  • Sessions split into 20-minute blocks
Zero effort
  • You sit. That is the whole protocol
  • No exertion, no recovery cost
Measured
  • Paired with monthly InBody scans
  • We track what actually changed
Rare in Colorado Very few CVAC pods anywhere are open to the public. Ours is one of them.

What actually happens inside the pod.

No mask, no needles, no exertion. Just pressure, cycling.

MINUTE ZERO

You sit down

The pod seals. You can see out, talk to your trainer, read, or close your eyes.

THE SESSION

Pressure cycles

The air pressure and temperature shift continuously, simulating movement between roughly 6,000 and 22,000 feet. You feel it mostly in your ears.

AFTER

You walk out

Some people feel energized, some deeply relaxed. Nothing to recover from, so it never costs you a training day.

Why people use it

Six reasons, and they compound with consistency.

OXYGEN

Aerobic capacity

Altitude-simulated cycling prompts the body to improve oxygen delivery to working muscle: the VO2 max side of the equation.

RECOVERY

Bounce back faster

Faster lactic acid clearance and reduced tissue swelling. Athletes use it between hard training blocks.

CELLULAR

Mitochondrial activation

Stimulates the energy engines inside your cells, which shows up as more usable energy across the day.

INFLAMMATION

Less joint discomfort

Pressure cycling helps reduce chronic inflammation, useful if you’re managing pain, an injury, or simply aging.

SLEEP

Clarity and rest

Clients consistently report better sleep quality and sharper focus after regular sessions.

EFFORT

None required

The adaptive benefit of hard intervals with no joint stress, no exertion, and no downtime afterward.

CVAC is half of it. Strength is the other half.

This is the part most people miss. Conditioning teaches your body to use oxygen better. Strength is what determines whether you can carry your own suitcase at seventy-five.

Vitality is both: strength that builds you up, and conditioning that keeps everything running. The CVAC pod handles one side. One private, one-on-one hour a week on the Kineo handles the other. Used together, CVAC sessions between strength days speed the recovery that makes your single weekly training hour work harder.

And because every membership includes a monthly InBody 970s scan, none of this is a matter of opinion. We measure lean muscle, visceral fat, hydration and cellular health, then show you what moved.

Questions we get about CVAC

Is it safe?

CVAC complies with the FDA’s Guidance for Low Risk Wellness Devices. Across the technology’s history there are over one million documented sessions with zero significant adverse events.

You are never sealed in against your will, you can communicate the entire time, and your trainer is present for the session.

What does it feel like?

Mild pressure changes in your ears, similar to a plane taking off or landing, and brief shifts in temperature. That’s genuinely it.

New clients start at lower simulated altitudes and work up over several sessions.

How often should I use it?

One to three sessions a week, depending on what you’re training for. The maximum effective dose is about two hours per week; past that you’re not gaining more.

Do I have to be a member?

No. CVAC is available to walk-ins as well as members, though members pay considerably less and get a monthly InBody scan included so the effect is tracked.

Full rates are on the pricing page.

Can I add it to strength training?

That’s how we’d recommend using it. A CVAC session between strength days accelerates recovery, which makes your weekly training hour more productive.
